Carlos J. Serrano is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Economics at the Department of Economics and Decision Sciences at HEC Paris. Professor Serrano's research and teaching interests are focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, strategy, and the financing of entrepreneurial activity. His research focuses on the market for patents, the venture capital industry, and the value and use of patents for technology startups.
